The Feel Good Story
OUR STORY
When our son wasn’t feeling well for an extended period of time, and we weren’t really sure what was wrong, we found that being in nature made him feel better. Since we live in Santa Monica, California, he went surfing and hiking in the mountains as much as possible, and it helped. We also started bringing nature into our home by bringing stones, shells, plants and crystals inside to create a sense of nature indoors. It brought a sense of peace and grounded-ness for all of us.
One day, I was at a store that had various types of crystals, and I brought a few home for each of our three kids. They all simply loved them and placed them near their beds or on their desks. I was having a hard day during that time, so on a whim I borrowed my daughter’s large rose quartz crystal. I laughed as I tucked it inside of my shirt. I went through my day and, interestingly enough, the crystal seemed to calm me and give me a sense of well-being. That’s when I started thinking about making necklaces so that we could all wear a stone all day long to help each of us “Feel Good!” I started researching stones to learn their qualities and properties. I put together a piece on crystals that I have enclosed with every necklace. I look for specific stones that are just the right size and still in their raw, most natural state -- that aren’t really shaped, cut or polished. I designed a setting that allows the crystal to lie right on the chest as freely as possible in its setting. I then learned that setting the stones in 18 kt gold helps amplify their vibrations most readily and, voila, my 18 karat gold “Feel Good” necklace came to life! No matter what you choose to wear from clothing to jewelry, it's all about how it makes you feel, isn’t it? I’ve personally curated and hand-designed all of these with love to make sure that whomever is wearing it gets the most benefit. I hope that you feel as good wearing your necklace as I do making them.
Love and Light,
Kat
